Meeting Notes to Action Items
Convert messy meeting notes into decisions, action items with owners, and open questions.
The prompt
Below are rough notes from a meeting. Turn them into:
1. Decisions made (bullet list, one line each)
2. Action items in a table with columns: Task | Owner | Deadline
3. Open questions that still need an answer
4. A 3-sentence summary I can send to people who missed the meeting
If an owner or deadline is not stated in the notes, write "NOT ASSIGNED" instead of guessing.
NOTES:
[PASTE NOTES]
How to use it
- Paste raw notes. They do not need to be clean.
- Check every 'NOT ASSIGNED' row and fill it in before sharing the summary.
- Send the summary the same day while people still remember the meeting.
Tips
- The 'NOT ASSIGNED' rule is the important part. Without it, models often invent owners.
What to expect
Twenty lines of scattered notes become a six-row action table, two open questions, and a short recap message.
